Owen has started crawling, it's exciting to see!! He can get where he wants to go, but not at the rate he needs to....Jackson is always a step away ready to take back the toy he left behind. This has kind-of been a issue. We have been working on sharing, and also on toy substituting, but my boys are smart, and Owen will stare down the toy he wants, and has even gone as far as crying until he gets what he wants. (7mo old, and already conflicts!!) Owen has also started crawling up onto my leg when I'm sitting down....meaning he would rather be held. It's fun to see him learning and growing up. Jackson is a smarty, on Sunday he passed off the first 3 articles of faith. Our Primary has an Article of Faith tree, and each child that recites and article of faith gets a leaf on the tree. It's pretty cute to hear Jackson say 'transgression'. We have been memorizing scriptures as part of our family scripture study. I felt that Jackson was basically zoning during scripture study, so we have a song we sing before scripture study "Scripture Power", then we have a short scripture study, then we recite the scripture for the week/month. It's fun to realize how smart he is. I'm always amazed...goes to show you should always marry a smarty, Thank you Jon!
I was recently with my family, and I had a blast getting to go to a cousin's wedding reception in SanAntonio. We got to go swimming at LifeTime (an awesome GYM), and Jackson had fun with his cousin Clark. We got to go out to eat, and of course enjoy a beautiful reception at the Hilton's home. It was very elegant: the flowers were amazing, and the company was great, and Jackson loved the music. He was constantly going to the dance floor-either dancing himself or watching other dance. I was laughing!!
In the bottom photo Jackson was helping Dad be "Bob the Builder". He was singing the song while helping Jon twist in the screws!! It's the small things that make life great!

Crazy how your second one learns so quickly! Loralee started crawling at 6mths and today she pulled herself up to the couch to standing position. Shannon didn't crawl until 10mths and didn't pull herself up to things until after she was 1. Sharing has been a new event that we are also working on, but Shannon does pretty well as long as it isn't her bear or blankie. Good luck as Owen becomes more mobile :)!!!!
Hey Tal! Great to see how you are doing. That's awesome that Jackson is learning the articles of faith. What a cutie. Owen definitely looks more like Mommy. Jackson still looks like Daddy.

Hey! How is everything? (you need to post more on your blog...hint, hint.) ;^) To answer your question: we're packing because we're moving. A better housing opportunity came up, so we decided to take it now while it's available. That officially makes it 4 different apartments in our 3 years of marriage.
It was so awesome to see you at the reception! Yeah, so how are you managing the sharing thing between your boys? I am a little anxious about dealing with that in a few months with Jacob and Maddie. Oh well! That's awesome that Owen is crawling now, although I'll bet it keeps you really busy! Again it was so great to see you!
